v3.0
Release v3.0
IT Support
We're excited to share the latest updates to the Sanusom Platform. This release introduces a refreshed Patient Dashboard UI, new patient presentation tools, and a comprehensive SMS Management System. Together, these updates surface critical patient context faster, streamline compliance monitoring, and give organizations scalable control over automated patient communication.
Patient Dashboard UI Refresh
Patient Presentation Pills - New
- What's Changing: The patient view now displays status pills at the top of the screen indicating why a patient is currently in the user's queue, including "Follow-up Scheduled," "Threshold Triggered," "New SMS," "Trending Non-Adherent," and "Needs Contact." Pills appear automatically based on the patient's current state.
- Why It Matters: Previously, users had to interpret status colors and review patient details to determine why a patient required attention. The new pills surface this context immediately, reducing the time needed to triage and prioritize work.
Urgency Score - New
- What's Changing: A new Urgency Score indicator is displayed at the top of the patient view as a visual cue suggesting whether the user may want to engage with the patient or can move on to the next one. The score has four levels, each with a distinct color and icon: Low (light blue), Medium (green), High (orange), and Critical (red).
- Why It Matters: Not all patients require the same level of attention during a given session. The Urgency Score gives users an at-a-glance signal to help them decide where to focus their time, without changing how patients are sorted or presented in the queue.
Patient Compliance Journey - New
- What's Changing: A new Patient Compliance Journey panel appears on the patient view, showing a visual progress bar for the 90-day compliance window. The panel displays days needed to reach compliance, days remaining in the window, and progress against the optimal 30-day window. The panel is visible only while the patient is within the 90-day compliance window.
- Why It Matters: Compliance progress previously had to be calculated manually from usage data. The new panel makes it immediately clear where each patient stands in their compliance journey, so users can prioritize outreach to patients who are at risk of missing the window.
Patient Dashboard Layout Refresh - Updated
- What's Changing: The patient dashboard has been reorganized for improved clarity. The patient header is now more prominent, status cards have been resized into a more compact format, the session timer has moved to the top-right, and On-Hold and Disenroll have been grouped under a labeled "Patient Actions" card. A new Recent Interactions panel has also been added, surfacing the latest patient messages directly on the dashboard. Underlying functionality is unchanged.
- Why It Matters: These updates make frequently used information easier to scan and free up screen space for the data users rely on most, without changing how any existing feature works.
Compliance Auto-Disenrollment - New
- What's Changing: Patients who do not meet compliance requirements within the configured compliance period can now be automatically disenrolled. When auto-disenrollment is not enabled, the system generates a task for staff review instead. Email implementation@sanusom.com if you are interested in enabling this feature for your organization.
- Why It Matters: This eliminates the need for staff to manually monitor and disenroll non-compliant patients, reducing operational burden and ensuring compliance deadlines are consistently enforced.
SMS Management System
SMS Admin Configuration (Admin Portal) - New
- What's Changing: System Admins and Global Admins can now enable and configure SMS functionality for each organization through the Admin Portal. A new SMS Feature section on the Organization Settings screen controls whether the SMS Message Management Tool is available to Org Admins. Email implementation@sanusom.com if you are interested in enabling this feature for your organization.
- Why It Matters: This gives System Admins granular, per-organization control over SMS feature availability and message type visibility, ensuring each organization can adopt SMS functionality at its own pace and in alignment with its compliance configuration. The independent toggle structure prevents accidental message sends when auto-disenrollment is disabled and clearly delineates which features are available to Org Admins on the user dashboard.
SMS Message Management Tool - New
- What's Changing: Org Admins, System Admins, and Global Admins can now configure automated text messages for six use cases: Program End Disenrollment, Non-Compliance Disenrollment, Compliance Met congratulations, On Track Milestones, and auto-replies for On Track or disenrolled patients who text in. Messages can be configured once and applied to one or many organizations at a time, with per-organization sender overrides available. All automated messages are sent Monday through Friday at 9 AM local time.
- Why It Matters: This gives organizations a scalable way to automate patient communication around key enrollment and engagement events, while the multi-org apply workflow significantly reduces configuration burden for admins managing multiple organizations.
SMS Opt-Out & Keyword Response Handling - Updated
- What's Changing: While the system previously recognized keywords and ceased outbound messaging, it did not automatically update the flag visible to end users. Now, when a patient texts a recognized opt-out keyword (STOP, STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, QUIT, REVOKE, OPTOUT), the system sets the "Do Not SMS" flag on the patient's record. When a patient texts a recognized resume keyword (START, YES), the flag is automatically removed. Any inbound message that does not match a recognized keyword — including "HELP" and free-form replies — generates a to-do item on the patient record dashboard for manual follow-up. Every inbound SMS is logged in the patient's interaction log.
- Why It Matters: Opt-out and resume flags are now kept in sync automatically, so staff always see an accurate SMS status on the patient record without having to update it themselves.
This release reflects our continued commitment to reducing manual effort, improving clinical workflows, and equipping care teams with the right information at the right time. From smarter patient triage to automated compliance enforcement and configurable SMS outreach, these enhancements are designed to scale with your organization's needs. As always, your feedback shapes what we build next, and we look forward to sharing more improvements in upcoming releases.
